Retranscription of L’Énéide (detail)

2011-2014

0.05 ink pen on paper and L’Énéide by Virgile (French) (1.5m in diameter)

The medallion evokes the shield of Aeneus. This object symbolizes the great work of Virgil himself as he wrote his epic poem. The idea of a world in need of unification and peace and the concept of the universal, which both remain current to this day, will be represented here by the shape of the circle – the image of completeness.
